Shimada has some sort of auto-immune disease like Crohns or ulcerative colitis. Presumably he'd be very vulnerable.

This series is still ongoing!?! Wow! Wish this was released legally here. I just remember the anime on Fox Box and Shonen Jump monthley (USA) gave a sneak peak of the manga one time.
