Shonen show of the decade right here. None of that "screaming louder makes you stronger" nonsense. Friendship is fine and all but it's not a substitute for having a better strategy than your adversary.
Also the only shonen anime to adequately convey the message that effort alone is not enough to get you where you want to be. |

It had a slow start and felt a bit generic at first, but the more I watched the anime the more I liked it (especially for its characters and the relationships between them). Really good, solid shounen, better than some other more popular ones imho.
