Seems like no one really paid attention to this series, so I'm kind of surprised they're making a comic about it (then again, so did the Netflix Cowboy Bebop show).

These licensed comics are usually greenlit months in advance in anticipation of the main product. So they're kind of locked in even if the show flopped.
