The writer behind Perfect World made a one-volume manga last year to point out how Japanese laws and society doesn´t care about female victims and sexual abuse. Koujou Yakei. I continue to wonder what it would take for matters to change. I am not asking for another Otaku Murderer, especially as none of the high-profile sexual abuse/murder crimes lead to meaningful reforms and came down on geek media instead of questioning the system, but their legal system is really effed regardless. Juck.
The quoted girl he traumatized will remain so specifically because she learned that no one is on her side. That is as much of a crime as what the perpetrator did. |
