If you watch the music videos with the subtitles on, you'll see how much the songs seem to be going for more of the emo vibe; it ain't cutesy!
With that said, I kind of wish there would be more belting and screaming in the singing. |

You wanna talk about "breaking the mold"? Girls Band Cry is THAT! There's a recent trend that girls can do band things like boys can. It's nice that anime girls are getting more exposure, no pun intended. Unlike that damn Pretty Cure that lost its touch by adding boy Cures when we already have too many anime boys in this world. Or Bang Dream but at least they sacked their PoS boy band spinoff long ago.
