Admittedly, I was surprised by seeing them cut to more Pokemon footage after having started the Direct with details on the Scarlet/Violet DLC. We hadn't heard anything in so long about the Detective Pikachu sequel, I had thought the project was just buried and forgotten. But I guess it was much like Pokemon Sleep and was buried in development hell instead.
Still, may play this! I didn't play the original Detective Pikachu, but hopefully you won't necessarily need to play the 1st one to understand it. |

The sequel has been in development for ages I forgot all about it. At this point I would expect a port of the original game to Switch for all the new people who never played it.
