Gotta say Mitsui's arc was amazing. Probably the best arc in the entire manga considering how the story changes perspectives when the guy's past is origin is revealed.
There are some episodes that feel out of place but that's cos they are trying to link it with a Toei movie they made in parallel. About Sakuragi's failure as a basketball player it goes sometimes way too far but episode 59 felt like it had an immense impact on me. The reaction he makes there is amazing. Episode 60 seals it with none other than Rukawa finally feeling like his own character considering he feels more serious for the first time. Also, the song "Sekai ga Owaru Made wa..." is amazing. |

Question: Do the subtitles improve? I'm on episode 18 and in some episodes the subtitles are worse than the worst of fan-subs.

Unfortunately, no. Frankly, it’s embarrassing of Toei. It makes it harder to recommend the anime to people. |
