Why is this one of the first things they announce they're dubbing lol, so many actual good series this season they aren't dubbing but they're doing this...

I haven't watched this one (I'm not planning to do it anyway, isekai are not my thing) but it seems that the series has become quite popular, and it's not surprising that it has received a dub in such a short time.

Because isekais are unfortunately what draw in a lot of views, and most of them are probably fairly cheap to dub compared to other big shows.
Them dubbing a lot of isekais is not the real issue here though. The real problem with Crunchyroll's seasonal dubs is that they just don't dub enough shows. It's literally pre-merger Crunchyroll all over again, albeit not as bad. Pre-merger Funimation would've dubbed nearly everything they owned if they stayed unmerged today, which makes it all the more depressing how things have turned out now.
I'm personally bummed that Bartender and Unnamed Memory are not getting dubs this season, and probably never will at all for years to come because they prioritize current seasonals more than anything. Hell, even the new Appraisal Skill isekai, which is not getting dubbed either, looks a lot more interesting than whatever the hell 7th Prince is supposed to be…
