Well I guess it's good for the mangaka financially, but really, live action is grit your teeth and smile hard while knowing your precious manga is going to get dragged through the sewer of mediocrity. And can be nowhere near as good as the manga because manga and live action are two fundamentally different mediums. But hey, there's money to be milked out of this.
And yes, Ruroni Kensin live action has not been completely atrocious because Japan can do samurai flicks, and Way of the Househusband has not been a war crime because Japan can do Yakuza flicks, but the odds are dire, no reason to think this would avoid the horror of the livening.
