OK, as a 10+ years as a K-pop fan, you just got my attention with the review when K-pop is mentioned at the beginning of the review, after reading this review and my experience and knowledge on the in-depth of the world of K-pop idols. I think this manhwa is worth reading for me.

Oh, and I just realized that the manhwa/webtoon was previously adapted into a K-drama done by KBS back in 2021 (I can't linked the Wikipedia entry on this due to the way ANN forum mis-read parenthesis) which you can watch it on Amazon Prime Video (assuming any of you have a Prime subscription), so I'm not sure if you're aware of this Rebecca. And no, I have not watched it and I just added the drama on my watch list given this review, and just found out about the drama adaptation.

But anyway thanks for reviewing this manhwa/webtoons for me and other people that are K-pop fans, and manhwa readers out there.

I didn't know about the drama, but I'm definitely adding it to my watch list! I'd also definitely like to hear your thoughts about this series (in either form) if you read or watch it, because I'm more of a casual K-pop fan.

I'm really excited to be able to review more Korean titles, so I'm glad you enjoyed this one.

To be honest, I almost completely forgot about Imitation when you brought it up. I nearly forgot there was a K-drama adaptation made in 2021 and even before you did the review hence why I reminded you and other ANN forumites about the K-drama adaptation of this manhwa/webtoon just in case if there people reading the review and are planning to read this to be aware there is a K-drama adaptation that they can watch on Amazon Prime Video.

I haven't watch or read the series, but because it involved K-pop, I want to both watch and read the series. Again, thank you for reviewing this.

I feel like there was a flood of YouTube videos about 3-5 years back talking about "the dark side of the K-Pop industry" and one of them just straight up said "yeah, the girls are so malnutritioned and overworked they'll just faint on stage during concerts, get up, and keep on dancing on the reg" like it was no big thing. And that meal regiment is definitely ringing some faint bells, like I feel like I've heard something very much like it in either a BTS documentary or maybe a trainee doc about how they were trying to lose weight and it was just a crazy little amount of food.

And that's not even going anywhere near the absolutely batshit stan culture--and we're talking literal stans, not cutesy super-fans, but die-hard, doing-questionably-mentally-/physically-healthy-things-in-order-to-stalk-their-bias kinda stans.
