The report is VERY open to the interpretation that Okada and Kameda had abandoned their current positions in WIT's projects (iirc Yaiba S2 and Ranking of Kings movie), but since that's not explicitly spelled out, it can also mean that they're brought in to help build up the new studio through small side projects.
And once both projects are over, they could both fully work in this new studio full time. OTOH, this could be another Vinland Saga scenario where the two of them could convince the production committee to bring Yaiba over to the new studio instead(unlikely for RoK for obvious QC reasons). |

I'm sorry but this is just copium. Okada and Kameda are out. It's much more likely that Wit will move to replace them with others for Yaiba and Ranking of Kings, especially given that neither of them have definitive release dates yet. The only time I've ever seen something like what you're describing is when Hiroaki Kojima left OLM to establish Bug Films, but that was a much different situation than Okada's. |

Let me guess: you'll also say that Kameda and Okada being the ones who pitched Yaiba in the first place and is a passion project that they're unlikely to let go of that easily is also false and copium. Either way, it can go both ways: that new people will be brought in to replace the posts they vacated and we're likely to see a change in the animation style(in Yaiba's case, it will stop using the Kanada style), or the two will find a way to still work on that passion project of theirs. |

You're misinterpreting what I'm saying here. I'm not saying they're necessarily abandoning Yaiba. I'm simply saying they won't be doing it through Wit. I also highly doubt Wit would be willing to relinquish production duties to Kurm considering they're on the committee for Yaiba (and RoK as well). If Okada and Kameda touch Yaiba again, they'll either get incredibly lucky and convince investors (including Wit) to let them continue it at Kurm, or they'll become an outsource partner on it for Wit. |
