What patents were supposedly being infringed? Does Konami even have a similar game in service right now? Or ever, for that matter?

Konami has made a number of horse racing arcade games, some of which are very elaborate. I'm guessing the patents in question had to do with the racing aspects of Umamusume.

The raising sim part of Uma Musume resembles the one from Power pro series, particularly in its Eikan Nine game mode (has been there since 2000s).
