Given the CG with Faris I assume Mayuri's height is just a weird hiccup of placing the character art in a lineup, but super tiny Mayuri is very funny
Already seeing people bemoaning the art, but they need to understand that we were never going to get grimy late 2000s Nitroplus S;G again. Re:Boot looks good so far and for spoiler reasons I look forward to what new story they're adding and how exactly this might be a reboot

I don't know if we needed a Re:Boot but the visuals don't look bad to me but I can't help but wonder what the "twist" is going to be.

Tiny Mayuri's weird but I'm also really distracted by whatever happened with Suzuha's hair color. She just looks really off in that picture.
That said feels like they should really be prioritizing 0 Elite before remaking the first one again but I think they just forgot they even announced that at this point.

Yeah, 0 Elite should have come before anything but also Steins;??? as well.

I imagine it's like some have speculated, they've run into problems with how to actually adapt the 0 anime into VN form. Because while the original's anime was just a straightforward linear adaptation, the 0 anime was effectively a sequel to the VN that also doesn't cover all the material. Coupled with Mages's financial woes and all the additional animation they'd have to do, they have possibly decided it's more trouble than it's worth

Steins;Gate really doesn't need a reboot but I get why MAGEs is doing one given their financial situation. I just hope they don't try to do what Higurashi Gou did with the meta narrative.

I'll just say this: anyone who's played Anonymous;Code to the end should be able to form a decent hypothesis on where this ""reboot"" is likely going to go.
As for the exact kind of story they're going to tell with that context... We'll have to find out.

I think the thing about that is though that like... Most of the Steins;Gate fanbase does not care about the Science Adventure series. It eclipses the series it's part of to such an extent that it's genuinely kind of an unreasonable ask to try to sell a not particularly asked for remake around theoretical, "If you know you know," stuff that it might not even actually do, and if it does do it then to expect people to have any idea what's happening.
Good show of that is how Robotics;Notes DaSH fell flat on its face because even with marketing it around, "Look at the Steins;Gate stuff!" it still wasn't really seen as closely related enough for people in that bigger chunk of the fanbase to actually care about it.
