Pleasant surprise. The animation is limited but it’s still a pretty decent adaptation compared to other shoujo series

I’m grateful for a second season. It took me a bit to get invested enough to stick around.

If this gets a second season, then surely Noragami, Land of the Lustrous and Chihayafuru will follow.
This romance wasn't my favourite series at all, but I do want to see more actual intimacy. The first season gave us a quick hand touch that didn't feel electric at all. I mean, I'm not expecting Kare Kano levels of electric hand holding, but they must be able to do a lot better. Also the side characters like Kagawa rock. So that might keep me watching.

This is great news! Not just as a Shojo fan who really loved the series but also so we can get a full season of them dating.

It may take 20 years but if Madhouse has any say, Chihayafuru will eventually get a full adaptation.

I mean yeah, the point seems to be that there is still a good amount of distance between the two because they still haven't fully gotten over seeing one another as far-off stars. From the last episode I would hazard to guess that a first major sign of intimacy between the two will be them using each other's first names again with Kamishiro no longer shamed into normative perceptions
But I'm glad this is getting a second season, and I hope Sayaka Kobayashi stays on as director because I think her scrappiness in assembling a team with a strong directorial vision did a lot with a little
