Sick! Wicked sick!!
Holy moly, I had kind of given up hope since it seemed like it's been so long since S1, and I thought the OVA was supposed to be out earlier than it was, and the anime production seemed kind of messy. But oh my god, I can't believe it!! A Christmas miracle, hah.
I hope they can actually get the pacing down this time, and make it to Ragnarok.

Glad too see this announced. Hope we can also get a 3rd because I honestly think the series gets really good in its second half.

1-hour special?
It's 48 minutes long, 35 without the recap and opening/ending.

Commercials. It was an hour for anyone watching the original broadcast.

This is awesome to see. I haven't read it, but I know it becomes amazing as it gets further in. I still don't think they'll cover the whole series since it will take another full season at least, but this certainly makes me think it has a non-zero chance.

I feel like the only one who was fine with the pacing especially compared to how every other modern shonen anime adaptation is on speed run these days.

Excellent news, especially as the first season, as good as it was, had almost no exposure because it was gated behind an exclusive streaming platform. Good to see enough of the home market provided a strong enough financial case to see the adaptation continued.

Yes, yes you are.
Most of these "speed run" adaptations don't even skip out significant things from the source, and I'll take that over a show that consistently adapted <2 weekly jump chapters per episode with padded recaps and reused footage in the middle of the episode.

I've grown to hate speed run adaptions as well. I very much miss the days anime had time to decompress and breath, but those days are long past it seems.

Hooo boy, the people who haven't read the manga aren't ready for the direction the story takes in the second half. It's going to get really fun soon!
