1% chance this is actually the final game. Series is their stable income at this point

I find it easy to believe that Suga certainly intends for this to be his final Utawarerumono game. He's always had a very strong vision and direction for the story, and I don't think he'd compromise that. I'm sure Yuke's could decide to produce something else with the "Utawarerumono" name on it, but it definitely wouldn't be the same without Suga behind it.
Of course, they'll probably keep Lost Frag running as long as it keeps making money, as that has been one of their tentpoles for several years now; but more than anything else, White Album 2 has always been the studio's biggest source of income.

I find such a claim highly dubious when the series seems to have only done particularly well with the two sequels, while the Zan games sold a fraction as much and Monochrome Mobius didn't even hit 20K sales at launch in Japan, with overseas sales likely not being much higher with how little attention it seems to have gotten. Lost Flag still being live means it's doing well enough, but I wouldn't be surprised if that's just due to a small portion of the fanbase paying enough to keep it running rather than it being popular.
If anything, I'm more inclined to believe that this is getting released mainly just because of the writer and maybe a few other people at Aquaplus pushing for it so they can finish this part of the story.
The producer does note in the latest interview that it's possible they'll make more in the future, but he also goes out of his way to say they have no other games in the franchise entering development, so it will be done for the foreseeable future at least.

I've been content that the trilogy for the VNs was completed. Maybe one day I will sit down and play Monochrome Mobius, but not anytime soon.
I'll keep my eyes on this "last" game and see how it turns out.
I am always happy to get more Suara.. music.

This is pretty much how I've felt about things too.
Mask of Truth was just such a perfect finale to the franchise as a whole, I couldn't help but feel these Oshtor backstory games are just a bit of extra fluff.
I'm sure Monochrome Mobius and this upcoming sequel to it are fine for what they are, though. I'll probably check them out someday.
I'm ready for Aquaplus to move on to focusing on other properties after this.

Eh... Monochome Mobius is pretty skippable. You get the feeling it was a generic JRPG that got skinned with Utawarerumono.
