Classic Netflix, but better late than never. At least we’re getting a dub.

We're probably no longer getting it for free after the Netflix deal.

The dub actors have big shoes to fill.

Ok?

It seems pretty late to be doing that, especially when it was already streaming on youtube, so it's not like this is a title that got completely missed this season.

I doubt it’s Netflix’s decision. This kind of thing is usually decided by the production Committee.

Pretty easy choice if you’re already paying Netflix, don’t pay for YouTube Premium, and dislike ads.

Not necessarily. The Amazing Digital Circus is on Youtube in addition to Netflix. I will say the picture is better on Netflix compared to Youtube (much better darks).

FYI Jerome explained the streaming situation for this show in one of his column: animenewsnetwork.com/answerman/2026-03-11/.234785

And how do you tell? A lot of free stuff on Muse Asia and Ani-One Asia YouTube channel are also available on Netflix, whether the same day or months later. They are and can be available on multiple platforms, it's not mutually exclusive.

Akane-banashi has been one of my favorites and I'm still surprised it got a dub with the subject being about rakugo so I'm curious to see how the dub turns out.

Why the delaycast in the U.S.? Netflix Philippines has been streaming the series from the start.

I wonder why they didn't annouce the English voice cast, here in Spanish-speaking Latin America we already have some information about its dub cast, with Akane being voiced by Nycolle González (Aqua from Konosuba, Haru in Beaststars, Fionna in Adventure Time, etc.), though I don't know if the cast was officially announced or if the information was leaked, because they even listed the recording studio, Media Access Company México.

If it's a union dub there's usually an NDA period where the voice actors are unable to announce their roles until the union gives the approval to be released. It happens pretty regularly with Netflix dubs that we usually don't find out who the dub cast is until it's officially released unless it's like a major title like Jojo's or Beastars or something.
