Doki doki quite possibly is the victim of the payment processor garbage. Even without dir3ct pressure, Google is the same company that restricts videos on YouTube for 'promoting' topics when the videos are serious discussions or critical of the thing they supposedly promote, It's why people have to dance around words like suicide, since saying the magic words might get you flagged by an automated system that they are far too willing to leave without the human oversight they claim exists.

DDLC being taken off the market is absolute bollocks. For starters, it's free and secondly it's available on everything else.

HSR's 4.0 didn't make a strong impression on me at first, but I thought it got better in 4.1, so I'm looking forward to seeing how 4.2 turns out Smile

My plate's pretty full, but I'll probably check out NtE seeing all the buzz. If it's just worse ZZZ combat with an open world & life sim elements, I'll probably pass on it.

Neverness to Everness looks interesting, but I probably won’t bother unless it comes to Switch 2, where I want to start auditioning backups to potentially replace my failing daily drivers, Fall Guys and Disney Speedstorm.

I'm confused, how does Hanasawa Kana voicing another character make another Bronya? Btw I think you got the K and H mixed up in the article

I like the gameplay of Starrail, I just wish I knew what in the ham sandwich was going on most of the time. Mihoyo sure loves just throwing you into a story with no real explanations for anything. I only just got done with the Penacony storyline and maybe it's partly my fault for taking my very sweet time actually going through the story but I felt pretty lost the entire time.
I appreciate that they respect the audience enough to not feel the need to handhold, but honestly I would appreciate having my hand held just a little bit more!
Like I still don't really understand what a "Path" is and I have no idea about what half of the factions are. Abundance wants to live forever, I think? Even though they already are immortal? The Swarm are bugs? Memokeepers go around recording everything for some reason? Masked Fools are all the joker??? And all the descriptions are just to poetic and flowery to make any sense.
The main character has some important connection to Kafka but I don't feel anything when they let me have a lengthy conversation with her because I have absolutely no idea what her deal is or even how my character feels about her, I don't even know if my character remembers anything from before Kafka put a bomb in them or if they even existed before that!

If you haven't been watching the shorts that get released along with the various patches, I would recommend checking those out as they can provide additional lore. There's also a lot of lore on all the items, gear, light cones etc.

I won't claim to be perfect on the lore, but my understanding is that the paths (ruled over by an Aeon (a being that ascended to a higher dimension, akin to a god)) represent an idea or concept.
Different individuals/factions can follow a path if they follow that idea. That doesn't mean that they have to have the same goals or follow it to the letter.
The abundance represents life and that aeon has used that power to do things like grant immortality (usually ending up with negative consequences, though I don't think that was ever seen as the intent). Many followers of abundance do want to live forever, but not all of them have been granted immortality.
On the Remembrance path you have memokeepers recording all memories, while cremators only think certain memories are worth saving and destroy others so that they can't be saved.
The masked fools are a faction of the Elation path, which represents joy and laughter, they can just take it to the extreme (though it can vary by the individual).
The swarm was created when the aeon of the path of propagation ascended born from their desire to propagate when they were the last survivor of their kind. Essentially they're just an endless horde of space bugs that seek only to multiply. They did such a good job that multiple other aeons had to step in to stop the universe from being overrun and essentially destroyed by the swarm. What's in the game now are just the remnants.

Pathstriders are people who follow a certain path (and it doesn't have to be just one) and can tap into the power of that path (destruction, abundance etc). This doesn't mean that they have to follow the aeon directly though. Just because you access the path of destruction, doesn't mean you want to destroy the universe.
Gameplay wise this means that a destruction character would be a dps while a healer would be abundance. Of course gameplay and lore don't always mesh, especially remembrance characters who basically covered everything (dps, heal, support)...
Emanators are people who have been granted a power of a path directly by an Aeon. If you finished Penacony, then Acheron is one. Aventurine is not, he just has a portion of one's power.
You could see the scale of power in Aventurine's fight when you have the express crew being pathstriders, Aventurine using a portion of an emanator's power and Acheron being an actual emanator.
An emanator of abundance once brought a dead planet back to life (like Ego the living planet iirc), for another example. That planet went on to eat one of the Xianzhou world ships that had billions on it.

The Kafka connection basically only has what you've seen and the lore text in the game iirc.
