I still think it's kind of incredible that the Switch 2 (and Xbox) port of both Remake and Rebirth arrived on the console on the same year, back when the Final Fantasy VII Project was first announced and when Remake came on the PS4 I believe most people assumed the entire trilogy would remain as a PlaySation exclusive for many years even after the release of the final installment, but now it seems that there's a good chance that Part 3 will release on all consoles on day 1, though who knows if Sony will demand a limited exclusivity deal, but I don't know why they would think they need it, it's obvious Part 3 is going to sell best on the PS5, since PS has been the home for all mainline FF games since 1997, it's not like the existence of other SKUs are going to affect their sales.
Now, in regards Rebirth's Switch 2 port, it's very impressive that S-E Creative Business Unit I managed to make a PS5 run on the Switch 2 hardware, though obviously tons of compormises have been made in order for this port to happen, and man, this type of Switch 2 ports always generate tons of discussion on various forums, and while I can understand some of the concerns, it sometimes feel like people don't want other to play the game like this, which feels a bit like console warring, not to mention that it's not like S-E are being forced to do this port, they have mentioned that they want more people to be able to play the FFVII Remake Project... not to mention that the initial sales for Rebirth weren't as big as S-E expected so I believe they want this Switch 2 and Xbox ports to sell well.
Moreover, the game's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, gave a quick interview about the reception of Remake's Switch 2 port and the challenges they faced to port the game and Rebirth to the system, and it seems the reveal for Part 3 is getting close.
