I feel for the Bakugo haters; this latest episode was one of the best animated and directed episodes of the entire show. It was so good that I’m actually concerned that the climax of Deku’s fight won’t be able to match up.

Doubt it, the climax chapter of the fight was voted the 3rd most loved chapter in the whole series in Japan (1 and 2 being the Deku vs Todoroki fight, so there was no resent bias).
On top of that, MHA its a series that lives and dies by its theme and the climax its the crystallization of the series' themes, if the climax fumbles the whole series falls apart.
The studio knows the climax it's crucial and had shown perfect understanding of the work with the last 3 seasons.
The little one-off black kid having such detailed drawing proofs this, the was the audience's ad-hoc and the studio knew it, he is even in the intro.
-------------
Anyways, I always found Bakugo´s revival as stupid, borderline bad writing and... the most epic thing ever written, so I don't care.
Funny enough, my favorite scene of the whole thing it's not pretty fireworks, but the wolf kid saying "Please dont die All Might" synchronised with a gust of wind with leafs in the background coming out his mouth... absolutely brilliant.

Everyone has sung the praises of it already, but episode 3 of this final season really is just a master class of animation. I get the fear that the rest of the season won't live up to this, and I do think next week won't, but I get the feeling the team at Bones knows this finale is a big deal and they're going to do everything they can to end the series in a big way.
As for the themes of the most recent episode, Bakugo might be the best written rival character in shonen that I've seen. His arc is just done so well and seeing him ask if he can keep up with Izuku, using Deku's actual name, and declaring that he is Kacchan are such powerful moments to show where is now as a person. The unspoken moment of understanding between Deku and Bakugo at the start is also just perfect for that too. I heard that we got one final popularity poll post series and it isn't surprising Bakugo would win.

Bones has been going all out for this final season just like Bakugo did for his return.

Bakugo calling himself "Kacchan" feels like as big a moment of character growth as Vegeta's iconic "Farewell, Bulma... Trunks... and you, Kakarot."

This whole season has been amazing, and the first 3 movie quality. I haven't read the manga so this is all new to me, too.
With Bakogo, I am looking forward to rewatching the whole series after this is over. He has some amazing character development, and I look forward to seeing the completion of his arc and revisiting it.

| Quote: | | I'm not entirely sure about the explanation for Bakugo's incredible power-up right now. |
He has Edgeshot's body holding him in place, is running HIGH on adrenaline and also, he's hurting himself with microexplosions (that's why he ends up ragdolling himself a couple of times, he's getting the hang of it), same way that Deku used to tought it up when using OfA at the beginning.

Oh, this episode was actually kinda censored.
They skipped everything about:
AFO's mother being a prostitute.
How AFO took his last name, again, from a prostitute who disappeared, ironically, his mom.
They also censored AFO's heldrich abomination of a body, but I suppose that one was because it's a BS drawing and animating that thing for more than 2 frames would have taken all the season's budget.
I always found interesting that the final quirk AFO used was his mother's, same quirk AFO used to destroy All Might´s bomb btw.
Hori can't help but add a mom trying to protect you, even by proxy.

As the show has gone on, I was wondering more about why All For One was so fixated on reclaiming One For All. Sure, what it can do would have been useful, and maybe he didn't know what we've learned about how it probably can't go to someone with a quirk or he was set on body swapping to deal. But, he didn't really need it. Between his own quirks and the army he built, One For All wasn't all that useful. Having it be about his brother makes total sense. Passing on a quirk to his brother was when things began to come apart for him, even if nobody besides him felt that way, and getting it back was a way of correcting the past.

"This maniacal sociopath, who came out of the womb a stone-cold killer, left this world crying like a baby. This is absolutely brilliant writing."
Crap, now I am super pissed off I didn't realize this before.
By the way, there is something the anime left out: Between Yoichi's scape and his dead there is a 2 months time skip.
No idea of why the anime didn't add the little sign saying it, the only deduction I can make is that it was a production mistake.

I get the impression that there's things the manga readers are seeing left out or not presented as well as it could have been. But from a anime-only person, I have not seen a show, book, movie, comic, manga, or anything stick the landing like this in a long time, maybe ever. I appreciate there is still time to goof it up, but I can't wait for each new episode right now. Like the days of the week feel a bit torturous

Man, the damn civilian who didn't want Deku in had a redemption arc, bet nobody saw that one coming.
I love how the people involved in the anime understand the work to this extend, placing the emphasis not in the flashy fight but in the common folk watching it was pure genius.
*Hats off*

It's kinda of a shame that Anime onlys never got the hints of AFO's "It was me, Barry" moment.
The anime skipped a lot of little details, can't blame them though.
Who could have thought that a random wallpaper in Overhaul's orphanage was relevant?
Or that scene of Tenko walking down the street hand holding somebody was important?
A good chunk of the fanbase had already guessed.

And here we arrive at the most divisive plot point in the entire climax. The amount of bile and venom this caused when this chapter dropped was astonishing. And it's because there are two camps for this plot twist.
Either you think All for One pulling the rug out from beneath Shigaraki again makes sense for his character, and was foreshadowed well enough.
Or
You think its the biggest cop out in the series, and strips All for One and Shigaraki of the traits that made them interesting for one last minute twist.
And this debate is still going on to this day; I've seen people just quite Manga/Anime entirely out of sheer annoyance over this plot twist

I wish this was true, all the drama surrounding the ending its shipping related and its super tiresome.
