I’m pretty excited for this one, Platinum rarely disappoints.

If it's anything like Platinum's Transformers Devastation game then the turtles are in good hands. I would prefer a more cartoony/animation art style than realistic though.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with the original Last Ronin graphic novel, but this is one time where realistic graphics arguably make way more sense than a cartoony one.

Licensed Platinum is historically shoddy. It´s how their abysmal first TMNT game came about. We´ll see but the first volume of this comic is good.

Platinum bled out all of their veterans because the current president has been obsessed with GaaS projects. Also, painting this as a great developer/franchise reunion like the trailer did is hilarious when you consider the first TMNT game by Platinum was so uniquely horrible that the publisher removed it from storefronts within a month out of shame.

It has to be a franchise they care about. It’s why Transformers Devastation was so well received but their Korra and TMNT games were seen as well below average.
The problem is that Platinum from that era isn’t the same as today’s Platinum, with most of their talent having left.

In some fairness Ninja Gaiden 4 I think was made after the staff exodus and it had pretty great gameplay if an unimpressive story. So whatever staff remains may still have some of the sauce.
In terms of hopefully differences, this appears to be a direct adaptation of the Last Ronin story, one of the most celebrated and best-selling stories of the franchise so hopefully that gives it some more investment than the original story from the last TMNT game Platinum did.
