Suddenly I have a feeling that they might actually use AI of Tanaka's voice for Motoko, instead of Maaya Sakamoto, or entirely different voice actress. Shocked

That's disrespectful, and it's going to cause a severe backlash.

I can't see them doing that, considering how famous Tanaka-san was in that role.
I think it's a completely new voice actress that they want to surprise viewers with.

According to some rumors I've saw, the english dub will be done in South Africa, by TransPerfect. It seems Transperfect Media will take care of the international dubs.

Weren't the English dubs produced by Transperfct poorly received? I've seen negative reactions towards the dubs for Dinner Table Detective, Ninja vs. Gokudo and Fist of the North Star, one would imagine that Amazon would give The Ghost in the Shell some extra effort in regards to its English dub, especially since I've heard previous GitS English dubs are well regarded
In regards to International dubs, I recently watched the Latin American Spanish dub and I think I could indentify one of the voices being done by Idzi Dutkiewicz, a Mexican dub VA known for voicing characters like Sebastian Michaelis in Black Butler, but he actually voiced John Smith in Ghost in the Shell: SAC 2024 and Batou in the live-action movie dub. The thing is that the Latin American Spanish dubs for anime produced by Transperfect for Amazon are made in Argentina, but Transperfect does have a Mexican branch.

TransPerfect has an American division. So maybe it will be done in Los Angeles, California. Their English dub of Digimon Ghost Game was done in LA.

Where did you hear that exactly? Giving this show to Transperfect Media sounds like a terrible idea.

Feels weird to have a GITS without Yoko Kanno or Kenji Kawai's soundtrack....

My assumption is it's a, "Wait until the performance is already out there to try to cut down on the amount of idiots harassing the new VA for the crime of not being the old one," thing.

I've been hearing some rumors that Maaya Sakamoto is voicing Motoko in this new adaptation, and it makes sense considering she previously voiced the character in Arise and technically spoiler[didn't she voiced Motoko's child body in the original movie?], out of all the female seiyuu, I believe she's the right choice to voice her, and I cannot understand why people would complain about Motoko having a new seiyuu, I believe most people are aware Atsuko Tanaka sadly passed away.
