anyone here enjoy this anime? just incase some of you guys don't know what it is, I'll give a little summary
Kousuke Ueki, a student of the Hinokuni Junior High School,is picked by a god Candidate,Koba-sen,to Participate in a competition where people battle out to become god and only the strongest will prevail. Embodied with the ability to turn garbage into trees,Kousuke will be joining in the battle against other junior high school students in this selection. this sets the premise for the earth-friendly battle where the students will pit their powers against the rest.
as for me, I found this to be a pretty good ok series, even though i've only saw 10 episodes of this so far and seems like the average typical Shounen fighter, nothing too special, but I thought it was pretty neat to for a character to turn trashes into tree branches and use them as weapons, the plot and animation-style kind of reminds me of a cross between Shaman King and Zatch Bell, and since this anime is licensed by Geneon,I think this would make an awsome edition to the Toonami lineup,
what do you guys think?

a very good anime in terms of values and story plot lines...
the powers are very cool because they're unconventional, the fight scenes are also very witty albeit hilarious...
i like Ueki's character depth most of all and his great sense of justice.
i've got the complete episode compilation and it is great!!!
i have recently received word that a manga sequel is in the works (or is it already scheduled for release?)...
really looking forward to it...

I picked up the first DVD, and couldn't hardly bear to finish it. It's every Shonen cliche presented in the most boring way possible. It wasn't nearly as quirky and funny as I was led to believe.

I didn't like the first parts either, but when I got to episode 18 (when Ueki was fighting with Robert's 10) it started to get better and I got hooked. The first episodes were just random battles, that's why I also found it boring and unimaginative.

I like the premise that he will gain and lose skills (I love the ability to dance) as the battles continue. The series comes across as a very typical shounen series. I can't really recommend it to anyone who isn't a fan of all of those other Jump titles out there, but if you like Shaman King check it out. The series is currently being aired subtitled on Imaginasian TV during the Geneon block.
