I was just checking the Encore Action schedule for Sept. and noticed they're not showing anime at midnight 5 days week anymore. They're still showing anime it's just at random times and days.

Huh. Well, that sucks. Thanks to Animidnight, I got to see Vandread, Fist of the North Star, Shadowskill, and Street Fighter II V.

R.I.P., Animidnight. Anime cry

Ah, but what you have to remember is that Encore is connected to Sci-Fi's Ani-Mondays. They don't want compitition with that.

Besides which, Encore hasn't shown anything new on AniMidnight for over 2 years.

Thank God for Sci-Fi and Adult Swim! Not to forget ImagineAsian!

Saiyuki Reload, Samurai Deeper Kyo, Memories, Mirage of Blaze, Appleseed, Eiken, Gundress, Kai Doh Maru, Ten Tokyo Warriors, The Gokusen and The Weathering Continent these are all new anime shown on Encore in the last year.

Okay, let me rephrases that. They have shown anything new to me in 2 years! Very Happy Wink

Well, they were repeating their anime too often, so maybe this isn't a really bad thing. And some of the anime that had been shown on Encore Action might end up airing on Sci-Fi's Ani-Mondays eventually.

I'm going to have to disagree and say this is a bad thing. The reason they're repeating their anime so often is because of their scheduling format. When they got new anime they showed new episodes 5 nights a week instead of 1 night a week like [as]. If they had been showing Tokko on Animdnight instead of Ani-Monday they would be finished and it would have been shown unedited.

Good point. I also had G4 scratched off my list of channels to watch anime on a long time ago. *cough2ndnetworkformencough*

It's a shame its stopping but at the same time its a good thing since now there's Ani-Monday and Encore is working with them.

However I wish they could get Saiyuki Gunlock, I was left hanging with Reload and I only own one volume of Gunlock. In a whole I think what Encore Action could use are newer series and not replay the old ones that often. I mean thanks to them I was able to watch "Gokusen" and "Vandread", I really love those 2 shows.

I still think they were repeating some of their anime too often, especially movies. It sucks that they aren't going to have Animidnight anymore, but I'm not very upset by it. Also, I don't think Sci-Fi is editing Tokko very much. I'm pretty sure they just edit what they have to, such as nudity and bad language.

I hear ya. Everything on there I have seen or the series was just okay and not worth seeing. The only one I wanted to see and wished for a replay was Hellsing but they never replyed it.
