Where can I find the uncut "Sailor Moon R: The Movie" in its original Japanese 90 minute long version?
I found the 60 minute American dub, but not the sub version. |

Um. Maybe somebody a bit more knowledgable about Sailor Moon can help with this one, but as far as I know, the original Japanese version of the R movie was 60 minutes long. You can find it on the DVDs Pioneer released over a year ago.

Yeah, the DVD version is completely uncut, to the point of preserving an animation glitch from the original theatrical print, eliminated from the Japanese LDs, where Sailor Moon's mouth moves, but another character is talking. Also, though it hasn't been brought up, the Pioneer DVD is not pan-and-scan; it was actually animated full-screen and then cropped for cinema screens.

From Sailor Moon Uncensored (story on May 8th).
While weeks have gone by since Cartoon Network sent out the press release of their weekday schedule effective June 3rd, with Sailor Moon being announced to be taking the 3:30PM slot, they seem to have been indecisive as to what season they want to air. Even when they finally put the June schedule on their site, it was undecided as to what they plan to air. Yesterday, however, they finally decided and posted what will air. Starting June 3, you can once again see Sailor Moon from the beginning of the series. Cartoon Network has the first season on the schedule, and the first season is confirmed to air. How far they will go into the series is still unknown, but for the first time in two years, the DiC dubs will be aired on cable television. |

You edit CN toons don't you?
As I understand it, when Sailor Moon fights naked in the movie, she has no genitals. Surly the uncut movie in it's orginal Japanese version can be shown on CN. Air the uncut sub movie (and other uncut sub SM movies) in "Adult Swim" for violence, language, and adult situations, and of course nudity. This way everybody's happy with the TV dub SM's in the afternoon, and the uncut sub movies at night. I forgot to add the URL on the previous post. www.smuncensored.com It's 1 hour long. I was thinking of the collector's addition. |

Sailor Moon is back on Toonami. Showing everyday at 3:30 PM Eastern time, the series will be shown until at least August. The episodes currently being aired are from the first two seasons (Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon R) dubbed by DIC. |

You think the same people who watch Cowboy Bebop and Yu Yu Hakusho will watch a shoujo children's show? I know I wouldn't. And besides, when has CN EVER shown anything subbed!? I rest my case. |

CN isn't allowed to show SM uncut even during Adult Swim. While CN can get away with *some* things getting past the cutting board, nudity isn't one of them. CN still falls under "children's network" and therefore can't show certain things. Read this animenewsnetwork.com/columns/edit-list.php?id=83 to understand more. |

Currently, it's not even slightly mature!
As for sub... CN once aired "DragonballZ" and "Card Captor Sakura" (both rated 13+) this way. |

I don't think CN has ever shown CCS and I know they've never shown subbed DBZ. All they show is the edited dub.

I was then as I am now lobbying for change!
Children are much more mature now and the FCC (TV) and even the ESRB (video and computer games) should realize that! |

Yeah, I'm sick of all this editing anime for TV crap but at least CN is starting to notice that people will watch shows when they air them (nearly) uncut. Showing Cowboy Bebop on TV was a step in the right direction.

It was the WB who aired the sub "CCS" in prime-time.
CN did air "DBZ" (or just Dagon Ball) in its sub version. (edited) |

but only a few things were cut for time by CN itself.
This policy was not in effect at the time, and the girls were naked briefly. |
