Can't believe they're doing a 3rd flick. Talking about beating a dead horse. This time next year all the kids will be playing Yu-Gi-Oh and Pocket Monsters'll be a bad memory.

Hate to dissapoint you... but... Pokemon 2002 is the fifth movie. Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back Pokémon: The Movie 2000 Pokémon 3 the Movie: Spell of the Unknown Pokémon 4 - Celebi: A Timeless Encounter, which came out in Japan in 2001. and now we have Pokemon 2002. |

I happened to have loved Pokemon.
Never the show, and not even the game, but the fact that I made a ton of money selling cards to freshmen three years ago.

And another Power Rangers!!!! The first one was cool when i was like 4 but how many to they need. Power rangers:in the lost galaxy and other this other stupid crap. Boo SABAN, 1. for teaching funimation to edit DBZ and 2. for making Power Rangers. *damn rich bastartds* |

I never knew there were 5 of those movies either... all i do know is everytime one would come out a billion little kids would flock to the near by theater. sad sad

Let's not misunderstand. There are 4 Movies released, 3 of which have been released in North America. A 5th movie is just now in production.
This is one subject I could wish I was even more ignorant of, but alas, my position does not allow it. While I dislike Pokemon, and hate the Pokemon craze, I must admit that I've seen very little of the show, and only read a few issues of the comics. Many adults, including some of the other ANN staff, happen to like Pokemon. I'd say they had screws loose, but that would be inapropriate.

I liked the Pokemon Movies and Games. The TV show never did much for me though. I didn't like a few of the characters. I think Pokemon suffered the "overplayed" song syndrom. Good tune, just everyone got tired of hearing it on every station.

HEY, I like Pokemon. It's a good thing... however I do agree that it's been dragged out for WAY too long. It (the show) used to be pretty good for fans of the game and I enjoyed that... but whenever it went all off of storyline and made up all this new crap, I thought it was [EDITOR'S NOTE: DO NOT USE THAT WORD. THERE ARE BETTER WORDS FOR "STUPID"]! It had a good basic story, but to break off and continue after that, and then keep going and going and going... I disliked any new things that it had.
Hey Pokemon haters, the only reason people generally hate on pokemon is because they're mad that it was SO popular. That's the only excuse... well... or else you just don't enjoy the feeling inside when you picture yourself in anime situations. I really like the feeling that pokemon gave me, and I'd say it was a generally good show and story. After all the spinoffs and re-routing of the plot however, you guys are correct. |

I find pokemon is be just a bit too formula for me.
However, yesterday's Pokemon fan is tomorrow's full fledged anime fan. Like it or Hate it, it will bring in more fans, which means more money to the industry and more investment in new ideas by studios trying to reach for the next big thing. You can dislike pokemon for whatever reason you want, but actually HATING it is foolish when it has brought so many good new fans..... ...... at least I keep telling myself that when I think of DBZ fans......

Yes yes, true... hating is so pointless. To come up and waste your time hating a show that never had anything to do with you unless you made it....it's really a waste of life. People are probably just trying to stir up trouble or something.
