If you haven't booked your hotel, do it now! Trust me! They're are not many that are close, and alot of them are expensive. I was very fortunate to reserve a room only 3 blocks away for 79/ a night. Everyone else may not be so lucky.
The following hotels in the LACC area are booked: Sheraton Wilshire Grand Inntown Westin Oakwood Holiday Inn Marriott Kawada Holywood Inn LA Athletic Club The ones that are left that are the cheapest are: Knights Inn - 75/a night Super 8 - 90/a night Ramada Limited - 90/a night Comfort Inn - 98/a night Clarion - 98/a night America's Best Value - 50/ a night Figeroa - 96/a night http://www.res99.com/nexres/search/search_...id=&rows=16 http://www.otel.com/hotelsearch.php?search...rt=2&Page=0 Check these sites for other ones around the area. |

Very nice post, thanks for the list. We're gonna have to take off the Comfort Inn and Super 8 sadly. I just called up those two a few days ago and they're now booked as well. With AX happening through the 4th of July the hotels around Cali are getting booked big time, so for those of you that haven't found yourself a hotel yet, get to it!

What about if you're on a waiting list? What happens to that hotel?

From my understanding if you're on a waiting list, you're basically put in a position where if someone who had the initial spot for the room pulls out, you then have an opportunity to take it (depending on how far along the list you were.) I hope that was the answer you were looking for. For those of you that haven't looked into a hotel, I'd advise that you don't depend on waiting lists for hotels around LA. It's very unlikely that you'll get it. Long Beach has a lot of hotels still open that weekend and it's only about 20 minutes away from L.A. so if you're looking for a nice affordable hotel, LB is where it's at. Quick question as well... Does anyone know why AX is in LA this year? I thought the spot they had last year in Long Beach was lovely. Albeit the night life wasn't nearly as exciting, but the beach was great and that huge lake thing that they had right outside the convention center was lovely. |
