While trying to add that the band Maximum the Hormone was part of the staff as Theme Song Performance (ED) of Air Master I got this message:
The data is available on the website, just not inside the Japanese Staff box. Am I doing something wrong? |

In fact, yes, but it's unrelated to your problem. Yet, your post pointed out several problems, and I'll explain them all, if possible. First, you saw the read warning text because the same information had already been submitted by another user, who later got banned for some other reasons (notably with information spamming i.e. submitting large amounts of made-up information, as well as posting fansub links), with all previously entered information marked as "improbable" automatically as we don't have time to verify each and every info s/he had submitted. This credit (Maximum The Hormone), however, was correct, despite its submitter was an annoying spammer. I've changed it back so it's visible to all now. Second, as you can see the given name is "Maximum The" and the family name is "Hormone." Being a band of four, this is rather ridiculous, yet the creator of its entry (who happened to be the aforementioned spammer) didn't pay enough attention, thus creating this unreasonable "family" and "given" names that I can't fix. Third, no matter how well we've explained on the submission page, there are always 5-10% users using the current URL -- animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=N, the page they are facing with -- as the source URL. It is recommended to use authoritative sources other than ANN Encyclopedia itself (ANN News is acceptable). There were users kept submitting nonsense URL, ignored our warnings, then got banned. Fourth (off-topic): use GIF instead of JPG for pure text screen capture to avoid unnecessary anti-alias dithering. |

Thanks for the extremely quick answer. I wouldn't have made the post if I got an ordinary error message. What got me intrigued was the "but we already know this task is IMPROBABLE for this person" which I thought could be some sort of internal error. I changed the gif, hopefully it's more readable now.

Nah, it's useless to simply convert a JPG to GIF. While there's no need to do it all over again in this specific case, the next time you make a text-only screencap with very few colors (the one you've shown contains only eight colors: black, white, red, green, light blue, purple, light gray, and gray) it would be better to save it as GIF instead of JPG. |
