What criteria do the staff use for selecting which DVDs and manga get the full review treatment?
Is there a link I've overlooked that would answer this for me? And just to clarify, I'm not asking to make recommendations for future reviews. I just wanted to know the process used. |

The exact balance varies from reviewer to reviewer and month to month, but what we review is always some combination of what we get sent as screeners + what we personally choose to do. (We do buy or rent a lot of what we end up reviewing, after all.) There's no special criteria beyond that, although we generally don't do hentai titles, titles that aren't directly related to anime/manga, or volumes that aren't the most recently-released one for the series; backlogs can make exceptions to the latter, however.
