Hey, I'm very new to anime and to be honest, and to be even more honest I am much more into my tattoos than I am into anime anime on the whole. Either way, for my next tattoo project I am going to cover my lower leg with an anime theme. I am having trouble finding a good image to show my tattoo artist what I am looking for and I was hoping you guys, who know this stuff much better than I do, could point me in the right direction or post a picture if you know of one.
The picture I am looking for is a female anime character pointing a gun (the bigger the better, because I'm going to have my artist make it huge) directly at you, if you're looking at the picture, so you are looking directly down the barrel. I hope that makes sense. If there is any way any of you can help me find this type of picture I would appreciate it greatly. Thanks in advance. |

Well it's hard to say exactly what you want, but just pulling one off the top of my head maybe Noir might be what fits your description.

I'm sure you could find one of Faye, from Bebop, in that pose too.

I'm not sure if this topic is going to last long before getting locked, but i'll awnser anyway.
Rally Vincent from Gun Smith Cats fits the bill. Even though she dosen't carry a gun Twilight Suzuka would work too. It just came to me, if you wanted two women you could get Merril Strife and Millie Thompson from Trigun. |

Well as far as anime chicks with big guns go, Seres Victoria from Hellsing takes the cake for large and in charge (she's a cutie too, but i like red eyes so...)

I actually know a guy with a nude Aisha Clan Clan tatooed on his right wrist.
Of course, he also has the Decepticon emblem on his right shoulder, the Autobots emblem on his left shoulder, and is planning on getting Mega Man tatooed on his left wrist. For the record, he's the lead singer of the local indie punk band The Comix. That might hold some explanation for all that. |

Pretty much any of Masume Shirow's illustrations revolve around scantily clad anime girls loaded down with weapons and/or robots.

I think you may find some good pictures from Mezzo Forte.

don't mean to be a downer, but if you are very new to anime I think you should wait before getting some unknown character tattooed to your leg. View alittle more to see how much you really like anime, and to see which characters you really like. But if you really want to go through with it, you should probably go for some generic anime gal with a gun.

I know a guy who tattoed a geisha on his left leg; and it's very well done too. *might ask him to do my tattoo* My mother's co-worker has a SSJ Goku tattoo on his arm. He's obviously a big fan.
Another suggestion would be Gunslinger Girl or Armitage from Armitage III. |

Also the girls from Dirty Pair Flash would work as well. That whole show revolved around stantly cald women and big guns.

I second this. I seriously think you should broaden your horizons before making such a big decision. After all, tatoos are permenate, and (I'm assuming) they cost a hellava of money to get rid of, and if you do have it removed, it'll leave a scar. Oh, and make sure you're a fan of whatever it is you plan on getting. I can only imagine how dreadful that situation would be. You get yourself a sweet tat of some chick, you finaly get around to watching the show she's in, and you end up hating her. Talk about ironic (I think). |

Aww, you are one step ahead of me. Most anime girls with a gun in her hands are mature, energetic, extrovert and sexy type, with a determined facial expression. However, Rico in Gunslinger Girl has a scene with her silenced CZ75 pointing at you, with a sad smile and tear in her eyes. On the other hand, Triela is more like a 'traditional' type of gun-wielding girl. And I'm sure you'll get a lot of wierd attention if you have a 10-year-old Rico tattooed on your leg. (run!) |

If you want a tattoo of an anime babe with a gun, then all I can say is go for Faye Valentine from 'Cowboy Bebop' or Seres Victoria from 'Hellsing.'
True, you're new to anime, but I don't see why you'd have to watch a series before getting a tattoo of one of the characters. And besides, there's not really much to Faye or Seres in the first place. However, depending on which one you get, you'll have a lot of one color showing on your leg. Faye is indeed an attractive bombshell with the kind of "beautiful, yet dangerous" personality. Unfortunately, you may be dissappointed at the size of her gun. From what I can remember right now, it's probably just a typical 9mm, which limits your options on how it can look. As for her costume, it's bascially a yellow suit with a cut off top to show her mid-riff, while the bottom, is just a pair of shorts with stalkings on her legs. Once you see her, you might get it. She has purple-blackish hair that's cut short at an angle (don't know how to really describe it since I'm not a hair person). And that's basically it. Seres on the other hand, doesn't have the gun problem. She carries a cannon, though I forgot what the name and specs were, but if you google the series, you might find it. She too, is quite attractive and might attract more attention because of her, well, "guns" (and I use this term loosely, if you get the picture Anyway, try looking them up, and if they don't statisfy your taste, you can always try watching other series. Actually, if I remember, I'll try to post a link or image sometime. Good luck on your quest for a new tatt'. |
