okay was wondering if anyone could confirm this for me. I've been told that rightstuf tends to ship pre-orders a few weeks before the actual release date. is this true?
the reason i ask is i tend to be impatient and don't like to wait the 2-3 weeks it takes rightstuf orders to get to Canada, but if pre-orders ship 2-3 weeks early then it balances out so I'm not stuck waiting several weeks after the dvd is released. |

It varies. I've seen pre-orders be available a few weeks before the street date and I've seen pre-orders that were still not filled even after the street date. There doesn't seem to be any dependable way to predict what will ship early, what will be exactly on time and what will take longer.

Not only does it vary, but sometimes if you have other stuff on order than is "on order by manufacturer", they will hold your items (including preorders) until that item comes in, so they can ship them all together. If the other items are "in stock", then your safe.
