From http://www.darkhorizons.com/news04/040825a.php:
True Lies 2 Talking on WLW 700AM radio, Tom Arnold spoke about a potential sequel to the 1994 James Cameron action comedy - "It's a matter of finding the right time, right place, and right story - something not so violent. Jim Cameron's going to be invovled but he's too busy preparing another movie for arnold - something real big - so he might only have a supervisory (?) role. Definitely happening soon". |

Short answer, no.
I don't see it happening and besides, what role could Arnold possibly play? |

Didn't Arnold retire from movies when he became Govenor ?
I'd be right pissed if I was a tax payer and my Govenor was spending all his time making movies. |

This topic is almost as dumb as the fact that he is the governor of california

If Arnie starts making novies again, it's time for another recall.

Tom Arnold's always speaking of True Lies 2 because he thinks that, if he repeats that it's going to get made often enough, it will indeed get made.
Hey, come to think of it, that's ADV's strategy with the Evangelion film! EDIT: Anyway, Cameron alone would be way out of their price range, and that's before you add the Governator. |

My bad. I misspelled his name the way he probably pronounces it.

Yes because obviously, 100 million enough enough to get James Cameron on board, despite the ammount of projects he is currently doing. GREAT LOGIC THERE.

After Dark Angel and that Titanic documentary, he'd probably take any job for one million.

Meh, I gave up on Cameron a long time ago. (IMO his last great movie among Sci-Fi or Action films were T2 same goes for the "Gubanator" and besides, Jim is obsessed with undersea exploration et al.) Sure Titanic was his biggest grossing film ever, but it didn't appeal to my niche tastes. (I enjoyed it for what it was, but it's a Movie i can only watch... once!)
Battle Angel seems on hold, last time i heard. thus i won't hold my breath for a quick impending release. |

Ha ha, Tom Arnold is talking about True Lies 2 again. He starts in with that once every few years hoping it'll happen.
Oh, and GATSU, Cameron is still incredibly hot. Everyone's waiting to see what his next big project is. He also has more money than God and can basically do whatever the hell he wants. Nobody hires him, he elects what he wants to do. That's what making the most profitable and successful movie in film history by a colossal margin gets you. |

He recently starred in that Jackie Chan movie. He got a lot of respect for it because his role made fun of the sexual harresment scandal. I think Cameron's next movie is Battle Ship Alita. |

I think Arnold would make a good Eva unit.

Cameron has said that he was going to do a live-action movie of the manga.
