Hi there. I want to know simply what manga title you are all currently reading. Is it exciting, romantic, or just plain funny?
I am currently reading Ai yori Aoshi. This has a good story, and it is funny and romantic at the same time.

There may have been threads about this, but we don't want to be rude and bump threads do we?

Wouldn't call it rude but keeping to topic.
I'm currently reading Buddha, WEED & Crayon Shinchan. Lesser known title are definitely interesting.
I'm looking foward to reading Nambul. It has an interesting premise that isn't like many other title.

Right now its Exaxxion. I read the first volume earlier this year, and while a good action/scifi offering, it didn't amaze me. I recently have caught up to volume 3 (plus a couple of chapters in SMB!) and can say its one of the best things being published. Unlike Sonada's other series Gunsmith Cats, Exaxxion gets very serious in volume 2. The main character Hoichi develops quite a bit in volume 2. At first he is the typical shonen hero: wants to kick ass and save people. However, after seeing the destruction caused by Exaxxion (the giant robot he uses to fight the aliens who are attempting to colonize Earsh), destruction and death to humans, he abandones the robot. But after seeing the horrific things the invaders are doing to people, he once again resolves to defeat the aliens. In volume three, he is in a terrible position. He wants to fight the aliens for what they are doing, and yet if he does he will cause more casualties and destruction. Even the humans he is trying to save hate him because of these casualties. It doesn't help that his grandfather, the man who recruted him to fight, is a total megalomaniac and seems to care nothing for the civilian loses. Alone and confused, Hoichi is a character that is easy to sympathise with and admire for the difficult task given to him. Not only is the art and storytelling superb, but Sonada has created a truely human character whos actions and emotions inspire the reader.

Yes, Buddha is great. I've been able to borrow the books from a friend.

Right now:
OMG;
waiting for volume 25. I`ve been reading that since the year 2001. I really like the characters and the art but I think Fujishima is pulling the story a bit too far. Still enjoying it though
Eden;
Now this is a piece of GOOD post-apocalyptic Manga! The artwork imho is BEAUTIFUL. Not manga-style-beautiful but beautiful in an arty way. The characters have been developed to look like normal human beings, without the big multi-colored eyes (not that I have something against those) so the manga has a strong reality sensation which with adult content (violence) makes a really good title, one of the best in Poland.
Video Girl Ai;
Got 10 volumes so far. I love the story. I actually love anything done by Katsura. All his characters look alike but it doesn`t bother me. I think his best work is I''s but VGA is right behind it. Only 3 more volumes to go
GTO;
2 volumes so far. Onizuka is hillarious, I dont remember the last time when a manga made me laugh so hard.
Waiting for and will read when they publish it:
Tokyo Babylon (2005), FMA (2005), Wolf`s Rain (XI.2004)
I was also collecting X/1999 but they published 18 volumes and suddenly stopped. I later found out that this is all that CLAMP has done. Damn.. and the story was getting so damn interesting!!!

Well I just finished up reading Love Hina - not bad, but definitely something that you will either like or dislike, however, it had significantly more character development than the anime. I just started reading RahXephon, which should be wrapping up next month. Of course there is the on going Oh! My Goddess, Trigun Maximum, and Battle Angle Alita: Last Order which still has two volumes to go before its run is done.

Is Crayon Shinchan licensed in America or are you reading the Japanese print? I've seen the preview of the anime and was...intrigued.
I'm reading Chobits Vol. 4 (yep, I'm a little behind in the times). After that, I'm going to be reading Tsubasa Vol. 2.

Currently collecting Hot Gimmick, Alice 19th, and Kenshin. Planning to pick up new Alice 19th and Hot Gimmick today!
Hot Gimmick is incredibley addicting. When it first came out, I never thought I'd find myself reading it, let alone buying up every volume I can find. It is a surprisingly well done love triangle deal. I highly recommend it!
Alice 19th is pretty good. The plot is really picking up now. I mostly started it because it's by the great Yuu Watase. It deffinitley has a different feel than her previous series I've read and watched (Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres).
I don't think Kenshin needs any explaination. It kicks ass and that's that. Haha

I'm reading Vampire Game for the craziness and humor (not to mention the bishounen!), Sayuki for the craziness (it strikes me as being a lot like Dragon Knights, only with more interesting characters and an easier-to-follow art style), Demon Diary (technically a manwha, but who the hell cares?) because it's cute and funny.

I'm currently reading The Five Star Stories. It's a very complex manga for me and I find myself going back and readng previous volumes, but that's what makes it enjoyable. There are little things in the story that you can easily miss that will be important in later volumes and there are a whole bunch of characters.
What also adds to the confusion is the jump between past, present, future and the omniscient events that occur during some present events.
If you like a manga thats gonna get a lot of lap time rather then shelf time i'd pick it up. It's currently on volume 22.

Yea licensed by Comic one. Get it at dollarmanga.com.
I recommend it. Has funny bits of story and some adult humor.
