I'm confused. Why are they having four different actresses play Anya? Does it have something to do with child labor laws over there?

It's not just a Japanese thing, as the Broadway productions of Billy Elliott and Matilda also had multiple child actors playing the lead character due to child labor laws (with a different child playing the character on different days and nights). P.S. Cue Damien singing "I've Grown Accustomed to Her Face" (preferably the Rosemary Clooney version) with a picture of Anya's smug smile in the background. |
