Aww, I would've liked to see her career grow and prosper! She's such a cute kid ^^ But there's definitely validity in wanting your child to focus on studies and gain the smarts needed to survive into today's economy, so I can't exactly fault the parents. Smile

ya never know, she could always come back out of her own will some day when she's older if she wants

Can't say I really know anything about this singer in particular, but I can't say I blame her parents for pulling out of this profession so she can fully concentrate on her studies. I imagine her job was contract based and once the work is completed, that job ends. I honestly can't blame her parents in the least for wanting to make sure their child has a chance to become educated without any distractions at all and gain the knowledge needed to survive in today's job market.

I know a person who does contract work (actually in the same realm of the Entertainment business) and while said person really enjoys the work they do, there is limited stability in the work and the benefits (with some jobs) aren't as comprehensive at times.

Needless to say, at times, contract work can be quite stressful and very challenging as well. As in some cases, especially if your starting out, you may be switching jobs quite often and may not have a steady flow of income for some time. However, there is a rewarding side as well, as the work that is being done is pretty amazing and often times, your dealing with a group of people that want to work.

After this singer graduates from high school, she'll be able to do fully decide what she wants to do, as by that point, she will be a adult then.

Her parents are likely to want her to continue her education though, especially if she is likely going to re-enter the entertainment industry as a great deal of those jobs require either a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in some instances. Not all, but the high paying jobs that may pan out to be full time and hopefully said full time work will come with a 401K plan.
