This December 6, 2012, for the first time in 30 years, the classic anime series The Rose of Versailles will be available to North American viewers on Viki. In partnership with Viki, we're celebrating this momentous occasion with a chance to win fantastic prizes! All you have to do is submit your best Rose of Versailles haiku, and you could win an autograph from manga creator Riyoko Ikeda, the complete series on two limited edition DVD boxsets donated by Right Stuf's Nozomi Entertainment, or headphones and a t-shirt!

Based on Riyoko Ikeda's legendary manga, the series is set in the court of Queen Marie Antoinette before and during the French Revolution. Lady Oscar is a young woman raised as a man to serve in the palace guards.

The contest runs from October 17, 2012 to November 16, 2012 at 11:59PM PST. Each entry form allows you to submit up to five haiku, but you can enter as many times as you want! While the contest is open to everyone, prizes will only be shipped to addresses in the United States and Canada. The winning haiku will be selected by Viki and Anime News Network, and winners will be announced in December through both ANN and the Viki blog.

All of the entries should be written in the 5-7-5 syllable style of haiku. For instance:

For a chance to win
A coveted autograph
