Etrian Odyssey V RPG Slated for 3DS on August 4

This week's issue of Famitsu magazine is reporting that Atlus will release the latest entry in the Etrian Odyssey series, Sekaiju no Meikyū V: Nagaki Shinwa no Hate (Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth), on August 8 for the Nintendo 3DS.

Famitsu will be releasing more information in a 10-page spread on Thursday, including an overview of the game's story and interviews with its developers. Etrian Odyssey character designer Yuji Himukai is providing the artwork for the front and back cover of the magazine, as well.

Additionally, Famitsu reports that Niconico will be streaming a special event, "Etrian Odyssey V ~Niconico Live Special~," to celebrate the news on March 5 at 9:00 p.m. JST. The game's promotional video will premiere during the event. Voice actor Ayumu Murase, voice actress Kaori Nazuka, voice actor Yoshihisa Kawahara, and emcee Chiaki Matsuzawa will appear at the event.

The staff includes Shigeo Komori as director, Yūzō Koshiro as sound composer, and Shin Nagasawa as monster designer.
