This year's 13th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that the second season of the Isobe Isobee Monogatari: Ukiyo wa Tsurai yo (Chronicle of Isobe -The Life Is Hard-) "mame anime" will begin streaming only on the Gyao! streaming service on March 6. The magazine also revealed that the anime won the Gyao Entertainment Service Award 2016 in the anime division. The anime has more than 11 million views on Gyao. Additionally, all episodes of the "mame anime" up until now are currently streaming for free on Gyao.

Mankyū (Tono to Issho, Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor, Donyatsu, [email protected]) is again directing the anime.

The Jump Festa event, which was held in Tokyo on December 17-18, announced that the production of more episodes had been green-lit for 2017. The Jump Special Anime Festa, which was held in various locations on November 27 and December 4, screened the entire "mame anime" series and featured a "special video" for the franchise.

"Mame anime" (bean anime) or "manime" for short is a short anime of about 30 seconds in length. The series premiered online in December 2015, and received more episodes last April.
