The character Tetsuya Kouji is a direct homage to the original pilots of Mazinger Z (Kabuto Kouji) and Great Mazinger (Tsurugi Tetsuya).

Much of the soundtrack composed by Chuumei Watanabe consists of BGM recycled from Great Mazinger, Fight! Iczer-One and Hajataisei Dangaioh
