Recoupable
In the licensing world, a "recoupable" (sometimes incorrectly written as "recouperable") is an expense that a licensee can remove from the revenue calculations before calculating revenue share or royalty payments.
Common recoupables include translation and dubbing costs, marketing costs, etc.
For example, if a licensee licenses an anime for a 50% rev-share, they must pay the licensor 50% of the net revenue they earn on that show. If they earn $100,000, they should pay the licensor $50,000, but if they had $10,000 of recoupable expenses, they would remove that amount from the net revenue, leaving $90,000 in net revenue and requiring a $45,000 re-share payment.
