Panty & Stocking Giant-Face Shirts for Sale in Japan

The anime studio Gainax and the fashion brand galaxxxy are collaborating on "Face Up T-Shirts" decorated with blown-up, larger-than-life faces of the two heroines from the Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt anime. Gainax and galaxxxy will begin selling the 100% cotton shirts — one size fits all — on their respective online shops in early November for 6,090 yen (about US$75) each.
Fans in Japan have already noted that the t-shirts essentially turn the wearers into miniature versions of the Gunmen robots from the Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann anime. Hiroyuki Imaishi directed both Panty & Stocking and Gurren Lagann at Gainax.
Crunchyroll is simulcasting Panty & Stocking outside Japan.
