Sailor Moon Love Triangle

In the above photo, cosplayer thatambrosiachick portrays the character Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino from Naoko Takeuchi's manga Sailor Moon and its television anime adaptation. (Usagi was renamed Serena in the English-language dub of the anime.) Joining her are two unidentified cosplayers portraying Sailor Star Fighter/Kō Seiya and Tuxedo Mask/Mamoru Chiba (Tuxedo Kamen/Darrien in English).
In the anime's fifth television season, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, Usagi is dating Mamoru with the expectation of a future marriage (in part thanks to traveling to the future in a previous season). Mamoru leaves the series for most of the season to study abroad, and while he is gone, the three Sailor Stars appear on Earth seeking the princess they protect, and Kō Seiya falls in love with Usagi. In the series, the two never actually confront one another over the love triangle.
The photo was taken at Katsucon 2010, which took place in National Harbor, Maryland from February 12 to 14.
