Shokotan Stars in Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Ads

Voice actress/singer Shōko Nakagawa ("Shokotan") stars in a series of five new television commercials for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D game for the Nintendo 3DS system. The commercials were first posted on the Wii console's Minna no Nintendo Channel and the 3DS system's own Nintendo eShop service in Japan, and then they began airing in Japan and streaming online on Thursday.
Nakagawa famously posted photos of her own unique brand of "Zelda Dance" when she gleefully received a copy of Ocarina of Time 3D on Japan's release day (June 16) and said that she would not be sleeping that night. She then performed "Zelda Dance 2" when she announced on July 14 that she would star in the Ocarina of Time 3D commercials.
Nakagawa does not dance for the commercials, but she does recount her adventures playing the game and plays the ocarina in the fifth commercial. Nintendo also posted a video of Nakagawa drawing Zelda hero Link; Nakagawa recalls drawing Link over and over again when she was 13 years old and playing the original Nintendo 64 console version of the game.
Nintendo is still streaming the television commercials that Arashi band members Jun Matsumoto and Kazunari Ninomiya made for the launch of the 3DS game. Academy Award-winning actor Robin Williams (Mork & Mindy, Good Will Hunting, Happy Feet) and his daughter also starred in their own international ads.
