Watch Z.O.E.'s Life-Size Jehuty Bust Rise & Fall in Video

Assembly, Akihabara unveiling, teardown in 3 minutes; bust heads to Odaiba next

The official YouTube channel for Konami Digital Entertainment began streaming a digest video on Tuesday for the Zone of the Enders Jehuty bust statue that was erected on a building roof in Tokyo's Akihabara shopping district.

The bust was perched on the Shimura Musen building, just blocks away from the Japan Railways Akihabara station, from October 25 to November 4. The Jehuty sculpture was erected to mark the release of Konami's Zone of the Enders HD Edition game set in Japan. The same Zone of the Enders HD Edition was released in the United States on October 30.

Next, the statue went on display at the Pallete Town branch of the Tokyo Leisureland chain on Tokyo's Odaiba island on Monday. It will stay there — not far from the life-size Gundam statue — until January.

The original Z.O.E. Video game for the Sony PlayStation 2 was released in Japan, North Aerica, and Europe in March, 2001. A sequel, Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner, was released in 2003 also for the PlayStation 2. The Zone of the Enders HD Edition video game was released for the PlayStation 3, the XBOX360, and the PlayStation Vita game systems.
