Madoka Magica/Bakemonogtari's Akiyuki Shinbo directs video with Kanon Wakeshima song

The official YouTube channel for Marvelous AQL began streaming the opening anime sequence for the Fate/Extra CCC role-playing on Thursday.

The studio SHAFT (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Bakemonogatari) produced the opening sequence with director Akiyuki Shinbo and character designer Shintetsu Takiyama (Nyarko-san: Another Crawling Chaos). Kanon Wakeshima wrote, scored, and performed the game's theme song, "Sakura Meikyū" (Sakura Labyrinth).

The game will ship in Japan on March 28. Marvelous AQL had planned to release this role-playing game inspired by the Fate franchise last spring, but it had been delayed to winter and then delayed again to February 21, before this most recent delay to March 28.

This game will come in two editions: a standard edition for 6,279 yen (about US$81.20), and a limited edition Type-Moon Virgin White Box for 10,479 yen (US$135.50). The Virgin White Box version will bundle a Saber Bride figma figure, a "visual works" illustration collection, and Sakura Tange's limited Saber character CD with three songs. Those who order early will also receive the "Virgin Bride" booklet, and first-pressing editions will include four super-deformed Servant character stickers designed by Rco Wada.
