Resident Evil Revelations' 2nd Developer Diary, Case File Videos Streamed

Playable demo for multi-platform survival horror game slated before May 21 release

The official YouTube channel for the Resident Evil game series began streaming the second "developer diary" video on Friday for Resident Evil: Revelations (Biohazard Revelations in Japan). The second diary focuses on how the developers incorporated viruses and a repulsive aspect to the game. CAPCOM streamed the first video in the series last Friday.

The official channel also streamed a "Case File #2: Horror" video on Wednesday. The video features Jill Valentine searching the deserted SS Zenobia luxury ship.

The new edition takes the original Nintendo 3DS game and brings it to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Windows. CAPCOM confirmed last Friday that the game will have a playable demo on XBox Live, PlayStation Network, the Nintendo eShop, and Steam before it ships in North America and Europe. CAPCOM will reveal the demo release dates soon.

The game's story is set between Resident Evil 4 and 5. It begins with Jill Valentine searching for the missing Chris Redfield aboard a luxury ship, the site of an outbreak.

The port will feature a new Infernal Mode, which offers a revised, "nigh-impossible" campaign with new enemy and item placements, compared to the original Nintendo 3DS game released last year.

Biohazard/Resident Evil: Revelations Unveiled Edition will retail for 4,990 yen (about US$56) on May 23 in Japan. The game will also be released in North America on May 21 and in Europe on May 24.
