Detective Conan Creator Gets Train Stationed Named in His Character's Honor

posted on by Bamboo Dong

Gōshō Aoyama, the creator of the Detective Conan series, received a delightful honor on December 15. He was present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Conan Station, formerly Yura Station, complete with a new sign bearing the manga hero's likeness.

The newly renovated station building is located in Hokuei, Tottori Prefecture, the birthplace of Aoyama. The station will provide tourism information, as well as a gift shop with Detective Conan books and goods.
