A certain Hollywood adaptation blasts away opposition

The college-oriented Japanese web site MyNavi Student, capitalizing on the recent Parasyte live-action film announcement, asked 599 people which live-action adaptations of anime they felt were the biggest failures. Here are the results.

#1: DRAGONBALL EVOLUTION, 67 votes

#2: Gatchaman, 14 votes

#3: Devilman, 13 votes

#4: NANA, 11 votes

#5: Fist of the North Star, 8 votes

#6: Sazae-san, 7 votes

#6: Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo, 7 votes

#8: Casshern, 4 votes

#8: Rookies, 4 votes

#10: Yatterman, 3 votes

#10: Space Battleship Yamato, 3 votes

#10: Black Butler, 3 votes

Among the reasons cited for Dragonball: Evolution winning this dubious honor: "There were almost no elements from the original story," "The characters and story were a mess," and "the leaping 'Kameameaa.'"
