Shotaro Ishinomori Manga Museum To Host Outdoor Screening of 1st Macross Movie

The spaceship-shaped Shotaro Ishinimori Manga Museum is hosting a special screening of Macross: Do You Remember Love? on May 4. Unlike other movie screenings, though, this one will be projected onto the exterior of the building.
Admission for the screening is free, with the event to begin around 6:30PM JST.
The Shōtarō Ishinomori Manga Museum is located in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture, and is dedicated to the city's most famous manga author, who penned works such as Cyborg 009. While it was damaged during the 2011 earthquake, it was officially reopened in March 2013. It is currently playing host to "Macross the Museum," an exhibit that includes a 1:1 scale VF-1S cockpit. The exhibit will be at the manga museum until July 6. Previously it was hosted at The Osamu Tezuka Manga Museum in Takarazuka City.
