posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

The Red Bull Music Academy is producing a six-part video game music web documentary series titled Diggin' in the Carts. The series focuses on Japanese video game music, from the 8-Bit world to modern games, and its far-reaching effect on modern artists and music. The series will look at the works of celebrated composers like Final Fantasy's Nobuo Uematsu, Tetris and Metroid's Hirokazu “Hip” Tanaka, Streets of Rage's Yuzo Koshiro, and more.

The web series will also include interviews with modern music artists Flying Lotus, Dizzee Rascal, Just Blaze, Joker, Fatima Al Qadiri, Kode9, Havoc, J-Rocc, and Ikonika. The first episode will launch on September 4.
